Whyalla 1st will host an information evening on Thursday night about the future of shipbuilding in South Australia.
The after-hours drinks event will be presented by deputy whip, Senator David Fawcett at the Alexander Motel from 5.45pm to 7.30pm.
With a distinguished career in the military, Senator Fawcett will present an update on the opportunities available to the community to be a part of the state’s next generation of shipbuilding.
Whyalla 1st committee member Bernadette Abraham said also given the city’s shipbuilding history, Whyalla was primed to be involved in the opportunities the industry presents.
The evening will also offer an opportunity for community members to have a conversation with Senator Fawcett who represents the whole state.
All community members are invited to attend with tickets $25 for members and $40 for non-members.
